Fresh Food Choices In Cork

by admin on April 8, 2012

Established in 1994, Farmgate Cafe and Restaurant demands a visit when in Cork. Nearly all ingredients used in the kitchen come from either the English Market below or from local suppliers who supply the stalls. If a good value breakfast is your thing, then head here. The coffee and scones are very popular mid morning. Everything is made by experienced chefs who insist on using top quality produce – the proof is in the taste. It’s not hard to see why Farmgate is so popular among the locals once you‘ve tried their food.

Boqueria truly is the best place for tapas in Cork, as the very friendly staff provide top notch service, even when busy. They are always helpful and cheerful. The interior is tastefully decorated, with photos of writers on the walls. The food is great, balancing out the safe options with a few surprises which work remarkably well, such as quail eggs and chorizo. Try their tapas tasting plate for a very reasonable 20 Euro and you won’t look back. [click to continue…]
